Twe12ve is an interesting version of mythology meets modern day society by Ceri Bladen. It is a fantasy story with a new refreshing take on the theme similar to that of Marvel. Ceri Bladen has created a fantasy story that builds well throughout. The reader develops a growing anticipation throughout the book. The general feeling and atmosphere of the book resembles marvels graphic novels as well as the recent films developed around the character Thor and his connection between earth and his home world.

The main character, Casey, unknowingly is caught in a battle between Gods. Before she understands her significance in the plot, other characters find themselves outmatched in deadly situations between Gods. Floki is behind a plot that requires the family of Odin to intervene. As the story advances a few humans begin to piece together strange occurrences that have larger meaning.

Ceri Bladen does a fantastic job of making the gods seem human. I enjoyed the complex emotions we see develop throughout. The personal relationships in this story lead me to give a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. Due to a few grammar errors and a climax that could use some development I am not going to give the full four stars. I believe the climax was not given enough attention relative to the other 90% of the book. Upon learning the basis of the plot I was a little underwhelmed. The logic behind Floki’s deception was a little hard for me to bite into as well.

I still recommend this story to anyone with an interest in fantasy or Marvel stories. Twe12ve was a short read with a very enjoyable development. The conclusion of the story had a very interesting character twist that I could not have anticipated earlier. I found myself hoping a sequel was in the works. Due to the humble size of the book I could easily find myself reading it again.

Ceri Bladen is a talented author when it comes to character development and character interactions. It is also enjoyable to immerse oneself in a fantasy novel that can be read with a short time commitment. In conclusion this book is a great adaptation of mythological fantasy and modern settings. The most memorable moments were character dialogue and emotions tangent to the plot. I would be very interested in the future of the character’s lives. Even the supplementary characters left me hooked onto their futures.

Sounds like an interesting modernization of the Norse mythology. I wonder about the title, Twe12ve. I think it's unique and catchy but does not indicate any connection with the mythological character. But then again, I am not very knowledgeable with Norse myth nor the Marvel Comics series. Good job on the review.
