We are Voulhire by Matthew Tysz is an exceptional fiction series that exploits diverse themes, especially pondering that of political power as it is a common ground in the physical and caromentis world. The genesis of this book or preface per sy has well-introduced major characters that the reader will sooner or later need to know. The map to which the book is all about is well laid The kingdom of Voulhire has its people as one in name but different in ways of living. Magic is a common thing in mages and biomages but to which limits of its exploitation are laid. The story begins when a Lord is overthrown by a former general whose power is astounding. The general has allegations against the lord of Hillport which he later provides evidence of.  An immigrant is destined to take over his uncle's legendary smiting business after his death. A council whose power is greater than that of the king of Voulhire is to protect its people against rebels, which later on they fail to accomplish. The former Lord of Hillport is confined in an Island guarded by images, he is spending time there because he took matters into his own hands by overthrowing his predecessor lord and practicing magic which is forbidden. King of Voulhire assigns a new Lord in Hillport who was a judge and is ambitious to give Hillport a new begin in and demolish his predecessor's past enigmatic leadership and give the people a new beginning. Under a new ruler, the rebels arise and pursue Hillport as a weak city to target and test their soldiers after a long period of Dormancy. The rebels are the genesis of the failure of a city to seek a new life. A being enveloped in a human body intrudes on the physical world and does not plan to leave any soon but rather explore it beside the Lord's prisoner who she tries to unravel who he is. The former lord of Hillport has regained control of the same city. The former Hillport Lord mentor breaks out of prison. An executor of the immigrant helps him to begin his journey to become a better blacksmith than his uncle but he seems to have a motive behind his aid. King of Voulhire gives the people of Hillport democracy, as they were to live as they wish.  What happens in Voulhire revolves around Meldorath for his supremacy in magic, and Riva for their anticipated destruction, leadership, and development. Meldorath discovers a gem that he is yet to analyze and reveals its magical potential if any that he can manipulate to his advantage. Both Voulhire and the Land of Princes have economic classes and political instability. Leaders in Voulhire are to blame for underdevelopment and downtrodenncy. Amazing as this fiction is I'll give it a 5 out of 5 rating. It is to my knowledge that this book deserves less rating and for its fascination that this should be an acted series that I would love to watch. Still in suspense and waiting for the next chapter's release.
