Path of Totality is an interesting fiction about man’s quest for dominance. A virus is created and spreads rapidly abroad. The aim was originally to produce agelessness, but because the due testing processes are bypassed, it eventually begins to kill toddlers and children of prepubescent age. To save humanity, two brothers create a conducive 'Complex' for babies and children, but it soon becomes a cage where willpower is seized from men until the emergence of The Travelers. The two brothers battle for ages on opposing sides.

P. Clauss presents the one with evil intentions and a strong selfish desire to control everything (Broin) as the one on the dark path, while the one that aims at ensuring that man is entitled to his own will (Colin) is referred to as the one on the light path. Broin has trodden so far into the dark that he has entered the obsidian path. Tormented by his demons, he channels all his energy towards a destructive course for humanity. Colin would not let him succeed. At least not while he lived. Through the wisdom of The One, The Travelers produce a vaccine from Sally and Devon's blood. How fast can they be in their attempt to outwit society's security system and dissipate the vaccine instead of the slow poison Broin already had circulating? Would they be able to control the chaos about to emanate once society is shut down? Find answers to these and more as you read this book.

One of the things I love about this book is how the author perfectly combined science fiction with the supernatural in a beautiful blend. The use of deep-tech terminologies mixed with the spiritual is just intriguing. I also liked the author’s ability to use words to create images in my mind. For example, the eagle tore apart the drone, even though it would seem naturally impossible. This book has a wonderful narrative, and I love how the characters were introduced.

However, the book was not professionally edited, as there were grammatical errors and tautologies. There were also cases where a particular word was used too frequently; for instance, the word "as" was used consistently in an annoying manner at some point. Another thing I didn't appreciate about the book was that it sometimes paid too much attention to certain details. An example is what happened in the computer room when Sally tried to convince Karl about Broin's evil deeds. So much time was spent trying to convince him of what seemed so obvious. Some representations in this book regarding religion may contradict what a lot of people know; however, this is my subjective view.

I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars. Although the book is interesting, it was not professionally edited, as mentioned earlier. So, I removed a star for that. I removed another star for the negatives I mentioned above.

I would recommend this book to people who love to read science fiction. They would find it most engaging. So many people do not know how much their selfish drives can impact the people around them or even society at large. This book preaches selflessness, and everyone should know it.

Mixing technology and supernatural isn't easy but the flaws you pointed out don't seem directly connected to that, so some more editing might significantly improve this novel. Thank you for your honest review!
