Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a book about wizards and sorcerers. Galen Bray is notified that his uncle has died, and he is the heir to his uncle's business, which is forging. He travels a long way by ship to Hillport. He meets Rowan, his uncle's executor, and they become friends.
Wilhelm Arcolo is the king of Voulhire. Orlin, the lord of Hillport, is accused of abusing children and is arrested and killed. The General of Hillport is Dalehei Meldordth, who has done evil things, such as experimenting on people. He is arrested and banished to an island to await execution. Eldus Alderman is the new lord of Hillport, and he, his wife, son, and daughter arrive and find the castle has some strange findings.
Hillport now becomes Voulhire, but the town's people still wonder if Medordth is dead and, if not, will he return to seek revenge and havoc on the city?
This book took me on a marvelous journey filled with mystery and magic. The story by Matthew Tysz was a world-developing experience with unique characters. The book is part fantasy, part magic, and part mystery. There are twists and turns at every corner. You think you know what is coming next, but the plot again takes a turn, leaving you stunned.
You will find that the characters are approachable, each having their idiosyncrasies. The author's writing style is fast-paced and engaging, from the brave and determined protagonist to the clever and convoluted villains. Tysz has created a diverse and intriguing group.
Although I usually do not read this genre, I found it engaging. The book is professionally edited and easy to read, as I saw no errors. This book is equally suitable for young adults and adults. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for a thrilling and enveloping fantasy that will transport you to a world of magic beyond your wildest dream, look no further.
