Kingdoms, magic, mystery, action, and so much more are some of the things included in We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. The mystery of the villain coming back to life, coupled with the magic and history that rocked the town—all of these mysteries can be seen in this book.
Galen took his chance and ran away from the Land of Princes. Going to a new place made him see things in a new light because he was provided with needs that he never knew he could have. Thanks to a friend, he got to explore more of what the town had to offer. The story also revolves around the King of Voulhire and how he wanted better for his people. Lord Eldus was appointed by the king to guide the people of Hillport, but he had his work cut out for him as he saw what the people of Hillport had been through.
The mystery is what kept me going in this book. I loved how Galen seemed so mysterious and how appreciative he was of what he received. He was ready to accept whatever came his way, and that is what I loved about his character. Another character that I liked was Lord Eldus. He tried everything possible to make the Land of Hillport experience the peace and happiness that they needed, which is why the outcome of everything left me feeling sad. All in all, I love how the author made the characters quite lovable and entertaining.
If there is one thing I would've loved to know more about, it would be the backstory of Galen and a deeper story as to why he had to run from the Land of Princes. Aside from this, I found nothing to dislike about this book, and despite this, I would still rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because of all the positive reasons mentioned earlier as well as my love for the storyline. The book was exceptionally well edited.
I would recommend this book to those who love a bit of mystery and anything about villains contained in a book.
