I just finished reading The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi which is a fantasy novel told in first POV of a 17 year old girl named Maya. This is a standalone novel that follows her path as an outcast in her father's court due to her horoscope predicting that she will marry into death and destruction to a young queen after marrying Raja Amar. I really enjoyed reading this book due to beautiful visuals the author is able to create with her words. This book has everything from romance, deceit, bloodshed, to death. I loved how Amar and his kingdom's secrets are revealed and the way Maya grows as a character! I would recommend this to fans of fantasy novels looking for a new world to jump into!
