The Fae Chronicles: Amelia Hutchins

The Fae Chronicles are a set of e-books in the romantic fantasy genre. The idea behind the setting is kind of fun...bringing a world of fantasy creatures into a realistic setting by their "unveiling" to the world. Familiar creatures and characters, modern setting, and a fresh writing style give these books life. Given this, take care before purchasing the tempting four-book set available at a reasonable price. The books are not edited well, and if you are driven nuts by grammatical errors, beware! In addition, the erotica is way past what you would normally see in romantic sci-fi books. Book one starts the first few chapters with scenes that border on "rapey"...which is extremely uncomfortable and can be enough to end the reading experience right there for some readers. The forth book takes the graphic details in the first book and moves them to a whole new level. As in...if you have teenage children who use your tablet, you need to delete these upon completion...kind of level...But, if you like this sort of thing, these are fun reads for a Friday night and a glass of wine.

Thank you for the heads up and review of this book! I actually had them on my summer to-read list but had no clue that they needed some warning to them:

I don't mind reading books that have scenes that can be uncomfortable for some readers, but I do like having an idea that they might be there or that they will progress to more graphic scenes. I also like knowing if books have a lot of errors in them, because I find them VERY distracting!
