In Dire Need of Superhero Reads?
Now, if only knew what their names were. You wouldn't happen to know the titles of any cool superhero books, would you? Please tell me their names. I'm a superhero junkie and I need to feed my addiction or I'll die. Wait, that's a bit drastic. But please let me know about some cool superhero reads.

"Steelheart" by Brandon Sanderson, and sequels "Firefight" and "Calamity"
"Velveteen vs the Junior Super Patriots" by Seanan McGuire, and sequels
I've read and enjoyed both of these series quite a lot. Steelheart is a darker look at what makes a hero. It's set in a world where supers rose up and basically destroyed modern civilization. What remains is isolated territories each beholden to one or more people with special powers. Our hero is a normal human with no powers who wants to get revenge for his father's murder by taking down one of the strongest super villains around. But for that he needs help.
The Velveteen stories are more of a comic take on it. Our hero, Velma, is a retired superheroine who just wants to get on with her life. Her hero name was Velveteen, because her power was to bring toys to life. In her world, a corporation called Super Patriots Inc controls all of the heroes, and it doesn't like one of their own up and quitting. The dialogue in the stories is wisecracking and funny, and the different hero types that Seanan comes up with are very entertaining. Each book is a collection of short stories with a loosely tied together narrative running through the volume. If you want a taste of these before buying the collection, some of the short stories can be read for free on the author's website.
Hope you enjoy these!
