Nowhere to Hide, the third novel in Jude Austin's Five Worlds series, is an exhilarating science fiction novel! After escaping enslavement and torture at the hands of scientists and evading deadly betrayal from his homeworld, Kata begins to reconstruct his life and wants to settle down somewhere he won't be used or exploited as an assassination tool for those in power. Tau, a project who escaped the lab with Kata, leaves for a separate planet where he begins to explore the world around him and get used to human life. However, this peace is short-lived, as a group of skilled murderers from Kata's home planet, the Holin, raid a military field hospital with guerrillas warfare. The target of the attacks is unknown, and those in charge of the site must find a way to escort those who survived to safety before it's too late. Tau soon finds himself knee-deep in what could be an interplanetary war. On the other hand, Kata accepts a deal from a government official to go into hiding on a distant planet, but even that goes wrong. Will Kata and Tau be able to settle down and navigate their newfound lives, or will they find themselves back where they started?

One of the best aspects of Nowhere to Hide is how dynamic and well-thought-out each character is. Austin put massive effort into giving each character a complex personality, including deep and intricate backstories! Nowhere to Hide is also perfectly edited with no grammar mistakes! I have no constructive criticism for Austin's novel, hence my perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars! However, it's necessary to note that Nowhere to Hide contains profanity, some sexual content, and violence (although the significance of that is up to the reader). In conclusion, I highly recommend Nowhere to Hide to any reader looking for their next sci-fi thrill!
