Homecoming by Jude Austin has got to be one of the best books I have ever read. I give it a 5 out of 5. It left my mind completely satisfied on all levels. It’s one of those books that is hard to put down. It takes you on a journey of survival with Kata and Tau, causing a whirlwind of emotions. You find yourself seeking justice for these two and looking for answers to their past. Kata and Tau are best friends who are total opposites. Kata has a bold personality that switches from compassionate to anger easily as he struggles with his internal turmoil of home life. Tau on the other hand has a soft personality with an eagerness to please those around him, all the while trying to understand the world around him. You will fall completely in love with Kata and Tau, hoping their outcome is good. You find yourself immersed in worlds that you never want to leave. You will also find yourself mentally pushing for these two boys. I have read the first in this series and this is the second book.

The only thing I dislike about this book is the amount of offensive language. I think less of this language would do the better. Everything else about the book is on point. I really enjoyed the different character such as Alan, who has a strong yet gentle personality, that has a soft spot for Kata.

Like the first book this one does have a lot of foul language, so if that is something that bothers you I would pass this book up. It also mentions sex a little throughout the book, again if you are sensitive to this topic I would pass this book by. This book also uses the Lord’s name in vain, so those who are of high religious belief probably wouldn’t enjoy this book.

I’m absolutely in love with this book. It’s a book that I will reread hundreds of times. Kata and Tau are two very well thought out characters whose personalities are unique and raw. What you see is what you get. So join Kata and Tau on an adventure of survival and let yourself get lost in their world.
