Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card takes place in the future after earth had battled a certain species of aliens twice. Because of that, children are trained with military games to prepare for a third encounter in the future. Ender Wiggin is an especially smart young man the excels in every game. He makes friends and enemies along the way. He becomes a commander at a young age in school and fights in simulations preparing for the ultimate test.

I really enjoyed Ender's Game. It is a very smart book and is kind of slow most of the time, but it makes the reader think most of the time. They have new technology at the school where Ender attends such as zero gravity pits. There they have battles between teams. It makes you think because there is no top or bottom of the pit because there is no gravity. Also, space travel is a part of the book. Ender travels away from earth at very fast speeds, so it takes him a couple weeks to get to the school; whereas it has been years on earth so his family is much more aged than he is. Those are just some examples of how deep this book can be.

I recommend this book. Some may say it's more of a "boy" book, but I enjoyed it.
