Review of Demigods of Pendilor

Demigods of Pendilor by Lawrence E. Jayaraj is a sci-fi book that takes readers to another world. The book is a mixture of love, kindness, war, betrayal, and politics. Suriyar, the sun god, falls in love with a mortal, Ourania.
They get married and give birth to two children, Assyri and Bolara. They are both demigods, but since Assyri is older, she gets to be the queen of Pendilor. Bolara does not like this because he feels that his sister is too weak. He trains his children to be bloodthirsty and violent, while Assyri trains hers to be kind and compassionate. How will it play out?
The part of this book that I enjoyed the most was the politics. It was interesting and added depth to the book. I like the family politics that ensued. I enjoyed the art of warfare. The author described the training sessions for the children so vividly.
I enjoyed reading about the powers of the gods and the different levels of their powers. Assyri was my favorite character; she ruled with grace, empathy, and compassion. She was kind-hearted and treated her subjects with respect. I like how she never succumbed to the evil wishes of her brother. She always stood her ground and was willing to sacrifice for her subjects. I like that all the characters had roles to play and played them efficiently.
The world-building done by the author was fantastic. He built a great world and made characters that fit it. The cover of the book fits the book perfectly. I also liked the title of the book; it was inviting. I found nothing negative while I read this book. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. While reading, I found no grammatical errors, showing that it was well edited. I recommend this book to lovers of mystery, drama, and sci-fi books. The book was worth reading.
