Galen is a humble and driven young man who does all he can to learn about his new home and blacksmithing. His unwavering commitment to mastering his craft makes him relatable. What I love about Galen is that he never pretends to be more than he is, but his desire to learn all he can about becoming a blacksmith is inspiring. It was easy to root for him and want him to succeed, making the story more compelling.

Throughout the story, Galen navigates the complex politics and power dynamics of Voulhire with ease, and the author expertly weaves in elements of mystery and intrigue to keep readers engaged. The attention to detail in We Are Voulhire is done expertly, and it is evident that Matthew Tysz has a true talent for world-building.
