I am in full support of you reading it again! I was thinking of doing so myself.Andre wrote:This is one of my favorite series. I was disappointed by how long it took for the next edition to come out but that also was a good reason to reread. Right now the series is sitting in a box in my garage. It may be time to pull it out again.

Try to find them at a library, if you're close to one. They usually have them. I do that with a lot of books that I'm not sure I'll reread again.Rachaelamb1 wrote:I want to read this series. How to describe it...it's just the best series I've ever read. It does battles better than Lord of the Rings. It has been the best at prophecy/results that I've seen, and I've read a lot of fantasy/sci-fi. The political intrigue is less saturated than Game of Thrones, but still really intriguing. It also has one of the best endings I've ever read to such a large series. It's very satisfying and pulls at your heartstrings. The work that Tolkien put into his books' histories and landscape descriptions, Robert Jordan put into the characters and story. The description, history, and settings are still very good, too.thym38 wrote:Is this series worth finding and reading all the books? They sound interesting, but there are so many... Can you compare it to something so I kinda have an idea of what it's like?
I'd say at least read the first book, The Eye of the World. All of the books are like that or better. There was not one book in the series I didn't enjoy completely.

I can see how the plot of the first book would be like LOTR. Don't worry about that. The rest of the books really flesh out the story and the plot becomes delightfully complex. I'm happy you're enjoying the character development. That is one of my favorite parts of this series! That's unfortunate about not having a library.Rachaelamb1 wrote:Unfortunately I have no libraryThimble wrote:Try to find them at a library, if you're close to one. They usually have them. One of us! One of us!I got Eye of the World and started reading it. It is really good but I am surprised at how much it is like LOTR. Plot wise I'm not so impressed though I expect it gets better later on on the series. The character development is very good and that has always been my favorite aspect of books so I think this will be a series worth investing in.
