We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is a fantasy fiction book penned by Matthew Tysz, serving as the inaugural installment in the We Are Voulhire series. The book immerses readers in a fantastical experience by unveiling a magical world and introducing compelling characters. As the title suggests, the narrative centers around the events unfolding in the fictional kingdom of Voulhire.
The book is presented in the third person perspective. The protagonist of the book is Galen Bray, hailing from the Land of Princes, a place fraught with droughts and wars. His relief comes when he discovers that his uncle, a wealthy blacksmith in the small town of Magnum Caelum, part of the kingdom Voulhire, could offer respite. It is there that he encounters Rowan, who becomes instrumental in assisting Galen on his journey.
The emperor of Voulhire is King Wilhelm. The kingdom is full of normal people, mages and terrorists. Hillport is a part of Voulhire kingdom. King Wilhelm appoints Lord Eldus to take back Hillport normal condition which was in a bad condition due to its previous emperors Lord Orlin and Meldorath. What happens next in Voulhire and how the journey of the characters goes is the later story of the book.
I am thoroughly impressed by this book. In my opinion, the author presented it brilliantly, offering detailed descriptions of even the smallest things. Additionally, the inclusion of a map of the kingdom adds to the overall presentation. The book is a harmonious blend, portraying the lives of ordinary hardworking people, mages, terrorist groups, kings, and lords. Its richness in content is particularly noteworthy.
There is nothing I dislike about the book. I couldn't find any errors in it. The book is well-edited and exceptional. There is profanity in the book.
I give the book 5 out 5 stars due to the author's amazing work and interesting fantasy elements of the book. I highly recommend this book to those who are interested in fantasy fictional books.
