Galen, a young refugee from the war-ravaged Land of Princes, embarks on a hopeful journey to Voulhire after inheriting his uncle's property. Blissfully unaware of the lurking threats, he envisions a fresh start in this seemingly beautiful land. Little does he know about the captured wizard Meldorath, the most powerful in human history, awaiting his chance for a sinister return, or the rebels of Riva Rohavi planning their vengeance on Voulhire's citizens.

"We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz marks the beginning of the "We are Voulhire" series, introducing readers to the imaginative world of Voulhire and its diverse inhabitants. Initially skeptical, I found Tysz's creation to be impressive, with loveable, horrifying, and invidious characters displaying his rich imagination.

The book departs from traditional chapters, opting for sections named after characters, a unique structure that serves the storyline well. While the story unfolds seamlessly, I did feel some unease with the magical elements, as they occasionally replaced modern technology with a seemingly straightforward application of ancient magic.

Despite this, "We are Voulhire" proves to be an enjoyable fantasy read for mature audiences. The author effectively accomplishes the goal of introducing the series' surroundings and characters. I did not find any errors which describes that the book is professionally edited, showcasing Tysz's skills as a writer. I confidently rate "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" 5 out of 5 stars and look forward to the next installment, anticipating an even more satisfying continuation of the series. My compliments to Matthew Tysz for a promising start!
