Review of Odyssey of Nirvana
"Odyssey of Nirvana" by Derrick John Wiggins is a short, captivating science fiction novel set sometime in the future.
From the despicable land of Boorish hails our young orphaned protagonist, Arlo. Fascinated by tales of a better, peaceful, and prosperous faraway land, Nirvana, Arlo decides to embark on the dangerous journey to Nirvana. Fully aware of the dire consequences of his decisions, Arlo, along with his companion Cooper, a monk, must battle strange creatures, avoid government agencies, and evade bounty hunters if they hope to ever make it to Nirvana in one piece.
After getting on the ship to Nirvana, misfortune strikes the crew as they become targets of the most notorious bounty hunter in existence, Duke and his crew. Will the crew make it to Nirvana, or will the fate that befell the majority that went on a similar journey befall them? You'll have to pick up this masterpiece to find out.
One of the notable strengths of the book lies in the author's vivid and detailed illustrations. This very detailed nature of the book made it easier for readers to keep up with the story. Another strength of the book is the captivating plot and suspense creatively woven within it. The suspense, along with the captivating plot, made the book very difficult to put down until I got to the very last chapter. I also liked the fact that the author made every chapter of the book short and engaging; this helps keep readers glued. I must also commend the editing of the book. The book was exceptionally edited, as I noticed no single grammatical or spelling error throughout my reading period.
I found myself without any dislikes for the book, nor did I notice any weaknesses whatsoever within the book; rather, I found myself glued till I got to the end.
I'd rate Derrick John Wiggins' "Odyssey of Nirvana" a solid 5 out of 5 stars for its captivating plot and the author's vivid descriptions and illustrations.
I'd recommend this book to both adults and young adults who enjoy science fiction and fantasy books. People who enjoy adventure stories will also enjoy this masterpiece.
