Join Galen Bray as he sets out on a journey across a land filled with mysteries and magic after escaping from the Lands of the Princes. Galen was only able to escape after his uncle in Voulhire found out about his existence and passed down his forge to Galen. He travels across Voulhire with his uncle’s executioner, Rowan, to find a special type of metal to work with. But what mystery does this strange land hold? Will the Riva Rohavi attack Voulhire once again? And what of the strange and deadly Lord Meldorath, proclaimed to be dead? Read a copy of We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies to find out!

One thing I liked about the book was the multiple viewpoints given by the characters. It was nice because I got to understand what some of the characters in the book were thinking—even the enemies—and it gave me more insight into their personalities, behaviors, and emotions. I also found the fact that dance, which is viewed as elegant, beautiful, and energetic, was used to control magic and direct it pretty impressive. It was also ironic that the Riva Rohavi used dance to fight in a gruesome manner, despite it being beautiful.

Sometimes I disliked reading the viewpoints of other characters because it got too boring, and I felt that I rarely read about the protagonist’s viewpoint compared to the others. Nevertheless, it was probably to set the scene for future books where everyone’s fates intertwine.

I found only a few errors in the book, so I believe it was professionally edited. For all the above reasons, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I am excited to read the rest of the series. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes magic and a good story; however, there is some gore and a bit of profanity, so caution should be taken.

The plot sounds interesting with mysteries and magic. I am also intrigued by the usage of dance in the book. Will surely pick this book if I have a chance.
