In the book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz, the Emperor made a strategic move by giving his four islands to his sons to protect himself from the risk of them overthrowing him. These islands, collectively called the Lands of the Princes, are now caught up in an ongoing war among the Emperor's sons. This conflict has led to chaos and forced desperate refugees to escape to Voulhire. The constant arrival of refugees from the war-torn Lands of the Princes brings challenges to Voulhire, affecting its cities and citizens. As a result, the king of Voulhire had to limit immigration from the Lands of the Princes, permitting entry only in special cases. Galen, being the sole heir of his late great uncle, who owned a forge in Voulhire, had the chance to become a citizen. The story explores what life in Voulhire holds for him.

I really enjoyed reading this fantastic fantasy book. The author skillfully joins different storylines together, creating a vivid picture of life in Voulhire. The descriptions in the book transported me right beside Galen, making me feel a part of his adventures as he went into the blacksmith trade in this imaginative world. My favorite part was Galen's journey and the intriguing plotlines, especially the mysterious eviction of Lord Meldorath. Beyond just being a fantasy novel, the author tackles some challenging subjects like pedophilia and immigration from war-torn areas. This added a thought-provoking layer of complexity to the story.

There was nothing to dislike about this book because the author made sure that it reached perfection. There was suspense, action, mystery, and twists that would make readers fall in love with it. The book contained a glossary to help readers catch up with the names of the characters and a map that would help readers perfectly picture the kingdom of Voulhire.

Seeing all the positives of this book and its exceptional editing, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. There were no errors in this book, and this aided the flow of my reading. I recommend this book to lovers of mystery and fantasy novels. They will enjoy it.

Wow! I am about to start on this book, and your review has told me what I needed to know about it, without giving away too much. That takes a lot of skill to do. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait for share my thoughts about it too when I am done.
‘When you do a good deed, people are grateful, and that creates a nice feeling inside you; and then because it feels good, that makes you want to do more good deeds. That repetition is the cycle of goodness.’
