Magnificent read! The book gets 5 stars from me.

The introduction piqued my interest and curiosity and I was hooked right from the start. It was a haunting and exhilarating story that never had a dull moment. There is action and violence throughout the book but it is not off-putting for the faint of heart, with just a touch of humor to lighten the intensity.

The book is very well written and structured for such a complex story. It contains a beautiful message of hope and unity amid war, cruelty, and chaos.

I love how the author goes into such great detail to paint the picture in my head. You almost want to get on a ship and sail to Voulhire to experience all the sights, sounds, and people for yourself. The author's words are brilliantly laid out and his descriptions awaken all your senses.

I also found the story both sad and inspiring. The author pulled all the strings of my being, emotions, devastation, fear, excitement, sadness, awe, hope, love, compassion, laughter and so much more. The magic is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!

There are a lot of characters and places to keep track of but the author lays the groundwork clearly for everyone to understand. The editing quality of the book was very good. Clarity, coherence, and overall readability were maintained throughout the book.

This book is the first of 7 books in the We Are Voulhire series. I was very disappointed when the book ended because I was curious to know what happened next with some of the main characters. The author keeps you hanging at the end with the anticipation of what comes next. I will have to read the next book in the series to get all the answers.

Grab this book and submerge yourself in a world of fantasy and magic – this is science fiction at its best!
