this fantastic fantasy book called "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz, and let me tell you, it was one wild ride! Picture this: medieval times, where mages and swordsmen roamed, kings ruled, and the air was thick with both a yearning for peace and the thirst for vengeance.

What really grabbed me was the brilliant concept of the Emperor of Lullabies, the King, setting up each of his four sons with land, weapons, and armies in different territories. Why? Well, he feared their ambitions would lead to a family feud for control of his empire. It was on this historic foundation that the whole story of Voulhire unfolded.

Now, let's talk about the main character, Galen. He left his homeland, inherited a forge from his uncle, and bam! Found himself in the Kingdom of Voulhire, right in the middle of a whirlwind of chaos. The plot dives deep into greed, long-standing rivalries, and one tumultuous event after another.

As someone who recently got hooked on fantasy after Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom, I was pumped to see what Matthew Tysz had in store. And boy, did he deliver! The characters were raw and complex, the plot was twisted and gory – exactly what I needed from a good fantasy read.

Sure, it had a bit of a slow start, but once you realize it's just the author's way of setting the stage, you'll forgive and forget. The book was beautifully written, well-edited, and left me eager for more. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series. Kudos to Matthew Tysz for crafting a story that not only captured my imagination but held me captive from the first page to the last. Consider me a fan!
