Review of Chrome Mountain
Not just any book, "Chrome Mountain" by Ben Schneider is an exciting blend of action, adventure, and interesting sci-fi story that keeps you hooked to the pages. Sonya and Trey are the two main characters in the story. They could not be more different from each other, but they share a battle against bigger forces. Sonya is running away from a difficult past and wants to make things right and start over. On the other hand, Trey has a highly intelligent mind and has made something that could either make the world a better place or cause a lot of trouble. These two people go on a trip together that tests their reliability, courage, and values.
It is interesting and easy to connect with Sonya's journey from a difficult past to looking for an opportunity in life. She is one of the most recognized characters in the book because her character is well-written and shows both depth and weakness. It is clear that Trey is very smart, but his ethical problem about his idea gives him more depth and makes him more than just the stereotyped "smart guy." Their relationship is what keeps the story interesting and gives it emotional meaning despite all the chaos.
The action scenes in the book really stand out. The author describes them in such detail that they seem to jump off the page. At these points, his writing really shines, leading readers into the exciting world he has created. Setting an invention at the core of the story is an intelligent choice that will lead to dialogue about the ethical concerns of technology and how it affects society.
The book’s strong points are its colorful descriptions and action-packed story, which make it feel like watching an action movie with extra depth.
But, sometimes, the big plot shifts happen too fast, leaving readers wanting more information about those parts of the story.
The editing is another factor that makes this book stand out. I found only couple of minor typos or other mistakes in the whole book. The thorough editing enhances the book's smooth and enjoyable reading experience.
In conclusion, I rate "Chrome Mountain" 5 out of 5 stars. It is an amazing mix of action, sci-fi, and character-driven drama. Even though it deals with tough topics like forgiveness and the ethical issues that come with new technologies, it is still easy to understand and a lot of fun to enjoy. People who like interesting stories with real-life problems and exciting action should read this one.
If you love science fiction or are just looking for a story with a lot of action and depth, "Chrome Mountain" is sure to be something you read and enjoy.
