Homecoming by Jude Austin is the sequel to Project Tau by the same author. In the prequel, we see a teenager, Kalin Taylor, who was captured by a corporation, GenTech, and mutated into something else, a project, because of the silly mistake of breaking into their facility. Kalin, now Kata, and Tau, the facility's clone, faced a lot of pain, torment, and suffering at the hands of the scientists in charge in the name of training for about two years. Kata is bent on getting out and later succeeds in the end. This sequel begins after they escape. Tau and Kata take a shuttle from GenTech and plan to return to Kata's planet, Trandellia. On Seneca, their problems continue to increase as a bounty is placed on their heads, and some corporations want to take advantage of Kata and his powers to take down their challenges. Read this book to discover what became of the duo and if they ever made it back alive or regained their freedom.

This series is one of my favorites, and I'm glad this book was nothing short of my expectations. I must commend the author's creativity, as constructing this plot in a time like this must not have been easy. This work is a rich mixture of sci-fi with a humanitarian appeal, as it can evoke strong emotions in its audience. Now and then, I observed my heart racing, as I did not know when those after Kata and Tau would catch up or if they'd fall into new trouble. The character development was staunch and continued from the first installment, so the audience would need prior knowledge of the prequel to understand this.

This installment had many adventures, from their escape to involvement with bounty hunters and the rescue mission on Atthiras. This book has it all to keep its audience flipping pages. I had no dislikes, as my experience with this book was better than the first. Austin delivers impeccably in style, action, and emotion. I look forward to reading the next installment, as I do not wish to leave the world of Kata and Tau.

This book is professionally edited, and I encountered only one error while reading it. Due to my enthralling experience with this work, I'm rating it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to audiences interested in thrillers, fantasy, and sci-fi-themed works. I recommend it to older teens and adults due to the language and graphic descriptions of violence in some areas of the story.

In the sequel to "Project Tau," the journey continues for Kata and Tau after their escape from GenTech. As they navigate the aftermath of their ordeal, new challenges and dangers arise, pushing them to their limits once again.
