Forget the generic adjectives such as "action" and "fast," as well as all their synonyms. Whereas Chrome Mountain does have a fast tempo, it offers something more meaningful.

The Chrome Mountain team does villains differently. Chrome Falcon is not just the faceless bad guy here. Rather than the plot, it explores the motivations of the characters. The revolution that consumes them is fueled with a grain of weird idealism, with them convinced that the chaos they create will pave the way to a better world. It isn't comforting; it's deeply chilling, because this story cannot be dismissed as mere fiction.
 
Sonya and Trey's relationship is the remarkable climax of the story—the heartbeat that barely coupled whispers. This is not just an expedient partnership or a foreordained love affair. There is an exceeding bluntness between them, a sort of acknowledgment that they are both through gloominess and that their lives are determined by the opportunity to choose the sun. The relevance of their dialog doesn't merely lie in being funny; it is a defense for helpless feelings.
 
Ben Schneider demonstrates her mastery of the art of fine writing when it comes to the little things. It is the smell of rain on hot asphalt where car chases have a place, the taste of stale coffee in a hideout, and the way a stolen glance between characters tells more than what they say. The universe of Chrome Mountain provides dirtiness and a lifelike atmosphere, which serves as the basis for these magical elements that make them so real and dangerous.
 
Yet, the novel here and there falls short in exposition. Some specific technical moments are provided with merely an info dump and are not integrated into the storyline. These often happen in the middle of an otherwise completely immersive session. In conclusion, I loved this book, and therefore, I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The editing was excellent because there was no mistake. I couldn't find any dislikes about the book.
 
If you end up with this book and are looking for a thriller that causes you to think as well as to breathe heavily, you will have to push a book into your bookshelf for sure. It is not only about special effects and fast chasing; it is a book that has grasped the idea that the thing standing behind such events is very real and it might happen to anyone at any time without a warning.
