Kordel Lentine's "Beyond the Bowling Ball Bombing" is a fantastic blend of science fiction, mystery, and adventure that will captivate readers of all ages.

The plot revolves around Terrance, a high school student in the spotlight after nearly avoiding a peculiar occurrence involving a falling bowling ball. Terrance suddenly becomes a local superstar, but his newfound fame has unexpected implications when he receives a mysterious puzzle box with a cryptic message. Terrance looks deeper into the puzzle and realizes that it holds the key to uncovering truths beyond his wildest imagination, such as the existence of time travel.

Lentine's storytelling is captivating from the start, bringing readers into Terrance's world with relatable characters and an exciting plot. Terrance's path from bullied teenager to hesitant hero is riveting, and readers will pull for him throughout. The author expertly blends aspects of humor, suspense, and human emotion to create an engaging and thought-provoking story.

"Beyond the Bowling Ball Bombing" has the advantage of being accessible to readers of all ages. Although promoted as young adult literature, the story's universal themes and clean content make it appropriate for readers of all ages. Lentine's decision to make the novel free of profanity, sexual content, and graphic violence keeps the focus on the adventure at hand, making it an excellent choice for families and readers searching for a healthy but intriguing read.

The novel's pacing is excellent, with each chapter building on the last to generate a sense of momentum that keeps the reader engaged until the finish. While some exposition slows the pace slightly, it also deepens the reader's knowledge of the story's difficult topics and adds richness to the overall narrative.

Regarding editing, "Beyond the Bowling Ball Bombing" is well-polished, with few faults that distract from the reading experience. Lentine's writing is simple and concise, so the story flows smoothly from start to finish.

While the novel's denouement delivers a satisfying conclusion to Terrance's voyage, it also allows room for future experiences, implying the potential of a sequel. Overall, "Beyond the Bowling Ball Bombing" is a delightful and engaging book that will have readers wanting more from this gifted author.

I read this novel and liked the mix of mystery created with the puzzle and the protagonists. It's indeed suitable for grownups despite having teenage characters for the sophisticated plot connected to time travel. Thank you for your great review!
Ciao :)
