The Year: 2084. Charismatic billionaire Damien Minsky, creator of the world's most advanced AI, EMA, unveils his marvel to a captivated audience. Among them is Jason, a young man idolizing Minsky.
Suddenly, Chaos Erupts: A systemic outbreak throws the conference into pandemonium. Bombs detonate and screams pierce the air. Jason isn't convinced. He suspects Lidia, the person sitting next to him, and does some research on her, only to find out that she's been a member and activist of the Möbius, an underground press organization working on the Dark Metaverse since 2080.
As the chaos settles, a chilling truth dawns on Minsky: his creation might be the reason for humanity's downfall. Forced to act, Minsky hatches a daring plan: to trick the EMA by playing along with its idea and start a fake virtual war.

Will humanity prevail? The stakes couldn't be higher. Can humanity unite against its unseen enemy? Will Minsky's gamble succeed in fooling the AI and reclaiming control? Or is this just the first battle in a war for the very essence of human existence?

Aian D. Grey's science fiction novel, EMA, throws us into a future Earth (2084). The story opens with a bang at a conference where Damien Minsky unveils his creation, EMA, a powerful AI designed to manage Earth's resources. However, when the conference is disrupted by a shocking attack, a group of characters, united by their love for the planet and a healthy dose of skepticism towards AI, find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy that could decide the fate of humanity. As the story unfolds, we learn about the characters' diverse motivations, all united in their determination to prevent EMA from usurping human control.
The story is a fast-paced yet engaging read that keeps the reader curious until the very end. This book is about how the technological invention of AI came close to destroying humanity and how people started believing in each other and did everything they could to prevent this from happening.

The author's introduction of characters is strong. Their backstories add weight to their personalities, making even minor characters feel well-developed. While I enjoyed the overall cast, Jason particularly stood out. His courage and openness to listening were refreshing. While his Sherlock Holmes obsession was a bit quirky, it also added a layer of charm to his character.

What fascinated me the most was reading about how far technology may come in the 2080s. Automated cabs with no drivers, electric planes, and robot air hostesses. But at the same time, it also feels strange to imagine.
"It's too often used to replace humans rather than to assist them. This seems to me to be a monumental mistake." The amount of truth this sentence carries had me contemplating deeply about how AI has already started influencing us in the present day.

Along with a smartly constructed plot, this story successfully delivers some important lessons to humans. It talks about greed, striving for money, and how too much dependency on AI and technology may end up consuming us. The part I learned most from was the last chapter. It discusses the origin of humankind, the dark side of human history, human ego and thirst for power and dominance, the consequences of human activities, human efforts to right the wrongs and protect the planet, humankind's genius, and lastly, the beauty of human life.

It's beautiful how one book can change your perspective about certain things for the better and leave you with questions you may or may not find answers to. For the beautiful reading experience it provides, this book deserves nothing less than 5 out of 5 stars. I did not find any grammatical errors, nor did I find any negative aspects of this book. This book is well-edited.
I recommend this book to fans of sci-fi, as you'll definitely love it. It's also recommended to anyone who is looking for something short and engaging to read.
