WTF Doc! A Kelly Stone Adventure by Marc Longcor follows Stone, who runs a tanning salon with a secret gun business. When a mutant outbreak from a lab threatens the town, he and his assistant Kate face the chaos. Dr. Pantera, responsible for the outbreak, deals with the mutated creatures while seeking help from the military. The mutants wreak havoc, leading to a city-wide crisis. Stone's military past and survival skills are put to the test as he battles the mutants and navigates the ensuing chaos to protect his loved ones and find a solution.

The book is rich in action scenes that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. From escaping mutant creatures to high-speed chases, the story maintains a high level of excitement. For example, the protagonist finds a bus and manages to escape with his team amidst chaos and gunfire. The protagonist's backstory and personality are well-developed, making him a relatable and engaging character. His daily struggles, like stumbling over beer cans and finding a clean pair of socks, highlight his human side amidst the chaos. This is evident when he prepares for his day with a hangover, showing his vulnerability and resilience. The book is filled with humorous and witty dialogues, adding a light-hearted touch to the intense action and horror. For instance, the protagonist often engages in playful banter with Kate, creating a dynamic and entertaining relationship. An example of this is when Kate and Stacy lift their shirts to tease the pizza delivery boy, leaving him stunned and exclaiming, "I’m not a virgin anymore!"

This book was exceptionally well-edited without errors, and I didn't encounter any negative aspects while reading. I therefore rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Those who enjoy science fiction will appreciate the book's incorporation of alien technology and experimental science gone wrong. The story explores the consequences of tampering with alien substances and the resulting chaos. An example is the introduction of Alien 13's blood and its effects on the experimental subjects.
