The novel The Sound of Creation, written by Gabriella Zielke, starts with Ava Lawson, a hard-working trader in modern Los Angeles, who storms to prove the effectiveness of her trading program called Seneca to investors who do not believe in its effectiveness. Within several hours, Seneca makes a huge profit, turning Ava into a whirlwind of success and scandal. But events that take place in her workplace make Ava doubt what is happening to her in a way that points at forces beyond her comprehension.

At the same time, in another world, the Seventh Dimension, Zek, a young creator, is accused of improper actions while being in charge of creating the Earth. Being assigned to analyze the disturbances in human consciousness, Zek becomes interested in Ava since she is of critical importance in discovering Earth’s peculiarities.

During his investigation on earth, Zek finds out extraterrestrial forces pulling human strings to control the conciseness, getting more intimate with Ava as they fight external adversities that want to subdue the redirected potentiality of Seneca. Together, they try to address crucial issues concerning technology, awareness, and mankind’s perspective. The book presents the reader with an exciting adventure of solving enigmatic mysteries with the help of modern technology.

Right from the start, Ava is presented as a focused trader with a dream in Seneca, her trading algorithm. In the case when Seneca creates massive gains within a single night, the issue that evokes Ava’s response is not only the success but also the values and norms animating her creation. She is a very interesting protagonist, as the audience sees her struggles within and her emotional development throughout the story.

The continuity of the multiple dimensions and cosmic motifs enriches the plot and was particularly interesting to me. The subplot of Zek in the Seventh Dimension, who was assigned the dual responsibility of the creation of the earth and the exploration of human consciousness, complements Ava’s modern-day struggle. The situations in which the character of Zek struggles with troubled ethical questions of controlling creation and dealing with universal forces can be associated with the main concepts of the book.

I liked the authors’ ability to pose various philosophical issues in relation to the characters’ actions and feelings. Existentialism, issues of morality, and man’s interaction with the world, especially machines, are critical themes that are excellently interspersed into the story. The conspiracy of the present day, along with other unidentified superior forces and conflicts between the main characters that occur in the fantastic world of the book, makes the book quite interesting and filled with ethical questions.

I honestly could not find any complaints about this book. Evidently, the most valuable aspect of the work is the fact that editing has been done exceptionally well with no mistakes. I would like to award this book 5 out of 5 stars for the complexity of making two characters’ narratives coupled with cosmic philosophies and the technology angle. It is a must-read for readers who seek to venture into intellectual books.
