"We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz is an incredibly captivating blend of science fiction and fantasy. This groundbreaking book is the first installment in the "We Are Voulhire" series, and it demands the attention of all enthusiasts of the genre. The protagonist, Galen Bray, flees from the war-torn Land of the Princes and takes refuge in the prosperous kingdom of Voulhire. Upon inheriting his late uncle’s estate, Galen embarks on a captivating journey of discovery and adaptation in a kingdom filled with magic, political intrigue, and imminent danger. The story is set in a richly detailed world where supernatural abilities exist alongside everyday life. The looming threat of the Riva Rohavi rebels and dark mages adds an intense undercurrent to the story, compelling readers to engage further with the gripping drama. Tysz’s compelling storytelling and vivid descriptions breathe life into the world of Voulhire, making it an unputdownable read for fans of both genres. The personal growth of Galen and the intricacies of the plot make this novel a promising start to an epic series.

The characters are also well developed, with individual plots and the reasons for their actions. The development of the protagonist, Galen, from a lowly blacksmith to a man trying to adjust to the sophisticated world of Voulhire is exciting. As engaging are the honorable Judge Eldus and the mysterious Meldorath and their tales are integrated into the general flow of the book superbly.

Tysz presents his novel with many plot surges and swerves, making for an ever-interesting read. The combination of magic, politics, and character development maintains interest and engages the reader. The plot of the story unravels at a good pace and ends at the climax making the reader wait for more of the sequel.

While "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies” is an interesting tale, while some readers might get lost in the details of the world-building and descriptions, they might seem somewhat excessive at times. Moreover, some political and mystical themes might be veiled, and viewers might need to focus on them to understand all the details. Although these are some minor issues, they do not decrease the overall brilliance of the book and are well deserve a 5-star rating for the smooth and detailed created world.

The book is well edited and the writing is exceptional without any errors book deserves a 5-star rating.

In conclusion, "We are Voulhire: Therefore, it is pertinent to read “A New Arrival under Great Skies” for any lover of fantasy. Matthew Tysz has written an engaging and enveloping story that leaves a lot of potential for the subsequent installment of the series.
