Review of Impact
Mark D. Owen’s Impact is an epic of the mind and muscle, a story with scientific as well as dramatic choreography. As a master planner and plot weaver, the author employs every technical strength of a structural engineer to create a world where science meets human emotions, and the results are explosive.
The novel is truly an excellent example of the entire imaginary universe one could come across. This is a defined engineering book brought to life by Owen, who has a concrete understanding of space exploration. The representation of the space debris is an aspect that creates a combination of horror and excitement almost perfectly. However, despite all this technicality and complex themes, the author remembers that the reader is always a human. Describing Tamarind Chase, an inventor who is portrayed as someone who values inventing above all else, as a heroine is appropriate because this character is both endearing and strong. From the state of grief and loss to the glamorous act of seeking redemption, Owen’s chief character stands as a beacon of his skills in character creation.
In this regard, the plot consists of a fast-paced space chase compounded by plot twists that make the reader sit on the edge of their seats. The pacing is perfect, with the right amount of detail about space travel and the tension being cranked up to eleven when necessary. Let it be said that Owen has done a marvelous job of painting the picture of loneliness, danger, and being lost in space. This is because the pacing is excruciating—every chapter [adds to the bigger picture of] building up the picture of suspense and mystery that is propounded by the celestial bodies. The phenomenon of the ISS explosion creation is a black hole that pulls the readers into it, and the findings in the plot of Moonbase Verity are galaxies that broaden the context of the given story.
So, with these points in mind and detailing all that I have explained above, Impact deserves a 5 out of 5-star rating. The work done on the editing was professional and free from mistakes, and that makes me have no reason to have a negative remark or dislike. Nevertheless, Impact is still much more than a powerful and captivating ride. Evidently, the novel is provocative as it touches on issues of space exploration, the meaning of human life, and the ramifications of human endeavor. It is an informational book that is aimed at making the reader feel a sense of amazement at the sight of the stars in the sky.
