After Galen had escaped the war-torn Lands of the Princes into Magnum Caelum, he took over the operations of Onita Steel, his late uncle's forging business and one of the estates left to him. He is initially overwhelmed by his new responsibilities, but his determination to honor his uncle’s legacy and carve out a future for himself keeps him pushing forward. With little experience in blacksmithing, Galen faces a steep learning curve. Even though Onita Steel was well-equipped, it required significant skill to operate. He had to familiarize himself with the tools, materials, and techniques essential for blacksmithing, and he was fortunate that his uncle had written most of the instructions down.

Meanwhile, around the time he arrived in Voulhire, Voulhirians were celebrating the "Feast of the Human Hands" to honor their success and pay homage to their forebearers. Unknown to them, Vidius Crodai was stirring up the Riva Rohavi, a rebellious and barbaric sect, and the mighty yet mysterious mage Meldorath was about to free himself. Will Voulhire remain the same?

I rate this book, "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz, 5 out of 5 stars mainly because it is a very thrilling and enjoyable read. This is a cinema-worthy story, and I hope it gets to the screens soon. The dark fantasy that overshadows the story was really spellbinding and nostalgic, making me feel like I was watching a popular fantasy TV show like "Resident Evil" or "The Lord of the Rings." The character development is epic, and all characters are well created. I particularly like Meldorath, because his mysterious aura heightened the tension and made me even more eager to read. I can easily tell that the author really took his time to write this book, and I'm definitely into the subsequent installments in the "We Are Voulhire" series. I don't have anything negative to say about the book. It has been exceptionally well edited.
