Galen saw a new opportunity for a better life when he discovered that his estranged uncle had wanted him in Voulhire. Having spent his entire life in a kingdom filled with sorrow, Galen was disheartened to learn that his uncle passed away before he could arrive. Nevertheless, he takes over his uncle's business and quickly earns the respect of the residents of Magnum Caelum. With Rowan’s help, he immerses himself in the local customs. To find out what role Galen will eventually play in Voulhire, you’ll need to read the book.

I enjoyed this book because Matthew's vivid character introductions and seamless scene transitions kept me engaged without confusion. His imaginative storytelling sparked my curiosity, prompting me to ask questions that were answered as I progressed through the story. Matthew’s writing style, especially his portrayal of mages with various magical abilities like teleportation and mind reading, was particularly impressive. He effectively highlighted how each mage utilized their powers.

Magic, while widespread, is also feared due to its past abuse by a formerly esteemed general who became a tyrannical ruler of Hillport. Soulhire, the capital, is home to the elite, while other cities range from industrial to peaceful and spiritual environments. The book explores the struggles of the prince's subjects, many of whom flee to Voulhire in search of refuge. Through its characters and their individual stories, the narrative reveals the challenges faced by residents, including conflicts with rivals and leaders.

"We Are Voulhire" deserves the 4 out of 4 rating I’m giving it. Matthew Tysz has crafted a well-written fantasy tale that is free of grammar and spelling errors. The integration of various storylines and how they connect was skillfully executed. I found nothing to dislike about the book, and the ending left me eagerly anticipating the next installment.
