Review of In the Heart of the Linden Wood
After Queen Lily dies during childbirth in Linden, everyone feels awful. They tell Geraldine, the midwife, that she is the reason for her queen’s tragic downfall. They even take away her magic healing powers. Almost the whole town is affected by the resulting loss. Not to mention, King Christopher has to deal with some problems of his own. The magical healing property of the Linden wood is beginning to fail, which has a huge impact on the area where this precious resource grows.
This leads him on an immense adventure to seek out the Keeper's heart stones. All King Christopher needs to believe is that this forest will finally come back to life. He soon realizes that he can’t do anything without the help of the midwife and her little boy, Alistair. Even through several challenges, the family maintains emotional endurance with powerful twists and themes of personal as well as external healing.
In the Heart of the Linden Wood by Ekta R. Garg is beautifully written. It talks about the importance of loving everyone, helping people even when they haven't asked for it, the approach of wisdom, personal growth, and how to live with the past more peacefully. King Christopher has become a substantial character due to his losses and went through various stages of his life, which made his life story a miraculous one. Geraldine is also the same, leading by example, trying to do whatever it takes, but for her son and for his realm, shutting knives and forks out of any new seeker. She never wishes to be dominated, but she is more admired when she shows she can stand up. I will stop there. You will find this out by reading that adventure. These are part of the many reasons I came to like this book as a reader. The book was exceptionally well edited and error-free.
The book is well written, with a rich character and an engaging plot. This book deals with the various themes represented in a delicate manner of wavering. It leaves you emotional at the moment and happy on the other. Magical parts and emotions stay balanced, forming a very okay read. I found nothing to dislike because the book's serious messages are conveyed without sounding too scripted about feelings towards others, pain in their lives, and how strong they can be in managing these setbacks.
I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because the story is so well-written, the characters well-heeled, and the plot engaging. It does have magical elements, very deep emotions that are very balanced out, and touching themes of love, personal growth, and healing. I would recommend this book to all those who have involved themselves with great emotions in fantasy and to all those who like stories of rising against the tides of fate and gathering strength when one needs it most.
