This book, "We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz, follows Galen and his life in Voulhire after he escapes from the Land of the Princes, a place that has been overthrown by powerful forces and war.

The Emperor of Lullabies, fearing that his four sons might kill him to take his wealth, decided to grant them separate lands. After a period of peace, the war eventually engulfed the land of the princes, prompting Galen to flee with the first chance he had to a small town in Voulhire called Magnum Caelum. Voulhire is closed to immigrants who were coming from the land of the princes. Upon arriving in Voulhire, Galen intended to inherit his uncle's wealth and continue his legacy. Soon, he meets Rowan, and they become friends, embarking on a joint quest to make a discovery.

I loved how the theme of evil was explored in this book—through evil men, evil places, and the evil hidden within. It illustrates that evil can be found everywhere. When Galen arrives in Voulhire, he uncovers the evil lurking behind its seemingly clean society. I also enjoyed the depiction of Galen and Rowan's relationship, with Rowan being Galen's uncle's executor. Another aspect I appreciated was the use of maps at the beginning of the book to help readers visualise the beautiful land of Voulhire without much confusion.

The writer's storytelling skills are exceptional, making me feel like I was part of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it from the beginning to the end. The book features well-developed characters and a compelling plot. I also appreciated the straightforward narrative and clear language. Throughout my reading, I didn't encounter any grammatical errors, indicating proper editing. Because of these qualities, I would give this book a five out of five-star rating.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and suspense. "A New Arrival under Great Skies" is part of the Voulhire series, so I'm looking forward to more series.
