"We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz tells the story of Galen Bray, a young man escaping the touble of his homeland, the Land of Princes. He arrives in the kingdom of Voulhire to claim an inheritance left by his late uncle. However, Galen quickly learns that Voulhire is a land of both opportunity and danger. The kingdom is threatened by the rebel group Riva Rohavi and haunted by the lingering influence of Lord Meldorath, a powerful mage who was thought to be dead. As Galen settles into his new life, he gets drawn into the larger forces at play in Voulhire, and the story hints at even greater challenges ahead.

One thing I really enjoyed about this book was the detailed worldbuilding. Matthew Tysz created a kingdom that felt alive with its politics, magic, and history. The balance between Galen’s personal journey and the broader conflicts in the kingdom kept me engaged. I particularly liked how the author presented Lord Meldorath as a looming threat even though he wasn’t directly involved in every scene. His presence was always felt, adding a layer of suspense to the story. The inclusion of a map and glossary helped make the world easier to understand, and I appreciated the extra effort put into these details.

I honestly don’t have any dislikes about this book. The pacing was well done, and the character development kept me interested throughout. Although the story ends without resolving all the plotlines, I’m looking forward to reading the next installment to see how everything played out.

I’m rating *We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies* 5 out of 5 stars because of its engaging plot, strong characters, and immersive world. The book was perfectly edited; I found no grammatical or typographical errors. I would recommend this book to fans of fantasy who enjoy stories with political intrigue and magical elements. If you like books that combine personal journeys with large-scale conflicts, this series is a must-read.
