Have you ever thought about a world filled with magic and mages? If you have, this book will certainly appeal to you. Meldorath is a powerful mage who carried out a coup on the Lord of Hillport. What will the King do amidst this coup, considering Meldorath is a powerful mage? Also, if we remove the magic and mages, we see the story of a young man struggling to run away from the land of princes. He makes his way to a boat that brings him to Voulhire. He arrives in his late uncle's town and is welcomed by the mayor. Galen will inherit his uncle's properties and learn his blacksmithing trade. To learn more about these plotlines, read We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz.

I found the idea of magic and science genius. The author has interwoven them so readers don't question their authenticity. Another thing I liked about this book is the world-building. During Galen's journey to search for an imbuer, I got to see the rest of Voulhire, most especially the Holy City of Yamon Soul. The author helped matters too by using clear descriptive diction to describe the towns and cities.

I found nothing to dislike about this book, and I found it entertaining in various ways. Beth's character seemed diverse, but gradually, I understood her and her allegiances. There are no errors in this book, as it was perfectly edited. I commend the author for such editorial efforts. I rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz book 5 out of 5 stars for simply executing a complex storyline. The author handles the numerous characters well, and I was content with the book. I recommend this book to science fiction fans, as it would appeal well to them.
