King Wilhelm sends Eldus Alderman to Hillport as its new lord. Hillport is a small town by the sea and is economically poor. The city has been through hell at the hands of Lord Orlin, who committed so many unspeakable atrocities. Lord Orlin eventually gets overthrown by Meldorath and becomes the new Hillport for a while. However, the king had some concerns about his methods and overthrew him, sending Eldus Alderman to Hillport as its new lord. Considering the town's awry past, Eldus realizes he has a lot of work to do and gets the support of his wife Charlotte and his children Marshus and Isla. This book has other interesting plotlines, and this summary is just one of them. Read this book to discover the journey of Galen Bray, a refugee who comes to Voulhire to find his foot as a man.

I enjoyed so many things about this book. The author executes the suspense promptly and introduces the characters in such a manner. His descriptions of the characters are extensive, especially during dialogue, making the book feel like a movie at times, which, of course, is a good quality. I like how the book was perfectly edited because I did not encounter grammatical errors throughout my reading. Another thing about this book that I liked was that the author gives an extensive background on all the main characters, as he understands that they might be important to the plot of subsequent books. It resonated with these characters personally, feeling like I knew them.

This book has nothing to dislike, as every aspect of its storytelling is profound and enjoyable. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the science fiction genre. I am rating We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Great Skiesby Matthew Tysz 5 out of 5 stars because, as I mentioned earlier, I found nothing to dislike anything about it.
