We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz revolves around a man named Galen Bray. Galen has lived his life in the Lands of Princes, and from the start of the book, we get to see the land as a place filled with war and chaos. Galen gets a chance to escape all this chaos and clinches tight to the opportunity. He makes it to a boat, which takes him to Magnum Caelum, a town in Voulhire. Here, he will reside and hope to master blacksmithing as his late uncle's successor. Galen crosses paths with Rowan, who seems like a man whose job is to track and find people and is involved in getting Galen out of the Lands of Princes. He helps him settle in further into the town and guides him socially so he can understand life in this new environment.

I enjoyed the multiple character dynamics illustrated by the author. We see different types of characters in this book and learn their motivations early on in the story. I like how the author depicts Soulhire, the capital of Voulhire. The city comes to life in the book, and the wardrobes of the characters are exceptionally depicted. I also like how the author focuses a great portion of the storyline on Hillport. It gave me a quick getaway from Galen Bray's story, and sometimes it was good to get away due to the convoluted nature of Galen's and Rowan's adventures.

Regarding editing, this book excels perfectly because I could not attest to a single error in its pages. This attention to detail underscores the author's commitment to delivering a spotless work in this book and subsequent books in the series. I found nothing disconcerting about this book, and it is because of this reason that I have decided to give it a perfect rating. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, and I recommend it to anyone who likes reading about magic and royalty because this book is filled with them.
