We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first in a fantasy series so well-woven it whisks one away into the large and complex world of Voulhire. The story follows Galen Bray, a young man who flees the chaotic and war-torn Kingdoms to seek his life out in the prosperous land of Voulhire. But when he arrives, he finds that beneath the prosperity of peacetime in this kingdom lies a very intricate web of political intrigue, dark magic, and looming threats.

Inheriting a forge from a mysterious uncle he never knew, Galen finds himself drawn into the enigmatic and often perilous world of Voulhire. In this new land, he meets an array of characters with their deepest secrets and ambitions and begins to dig into the deep-seated conflicts brewing within the kingdom. From power struggles among Voulhire rulers all the way to the tension between science and sorcery, the novel paints a real picture of the onset of societal upheaval.

Tysz's story is a tale of power, morality, and the role of technology versus magic in a kingdom whose future hangs in the balance. Galen's journey of self-discovery and rising involvement in the fate of Voulhire serves as a backcloth to an epic tale of adventure, mystery, and philosophical inquiry.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is an engaging introduction to a series promising to go into the complexities of power, the consequences of choices, and the rich tapestry of a world where magic and reality collide. 

I found nothing to dislike about the book. It was well edited, as I found no errors. The pacing was superb. I rate this book five out of five stars. I recommend it to lovers of sci-fi, action, and suspense. I can see this book being adapted into a movie someday.
