Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
“We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies” is a fascinating science fiction by Matthew Tysz. The story opens up with a history of the origin of the wars going on in the Land of the Princes. The Emperor of Lullabies gave his sons islands individually because he wanted to separate them from himself. However, these islands were interconnected, causing the princes to desire the entire chain of islands for themselves. This led to the onset of a gruesome war that lingered for a long time and caused numerous deaths, sicknesses, and poverty. Galen Bray was one of the citizens of The Land of the Princes who was fortunate enough to flee to the Kingdom of Voulhire, despite the fact that immigrants from the Land of the Princes were prohibited from staying there. His great uncle had lived in Voulhire and owned a great forge. Grab a copy of this book to learn what Galen discovered in the magical Kingdom of Voulhire and how he was able to navigate them.
Galen meets Rowan, his great uncle’s executor, who was very helpful by showing him the massive inheritance his great uncle had left him and how to continue his legacy as a renowned blacksmith. Lord Meldorath was a powerful mage with a mysterious presence in the book. He was once the king’s favourite general before he was overthrown and had a dark, questionable character. Lord Eldus was the current Lord and had good intentions for the people. The family values exhibited by his family stood out as I read, which added a level of warmth to the book.
I found the variety of characters in this book very fascinating. As each part of the book unfolded, it added to the already-built suspense. The author did a great job by introducing the characters at the beginning and eventually getting these distinct characters to a focal point. It was such a delight to see the part each character played in making the book a wholesome story.
I found absolutely no downsides in this book. It was professionally edited with an impeccable choice of words. This was evidenced by the fact that I did not detect any error. Thus, I will give this book a beautiful rating of five out of five stars.
I recommend this book to all lovers of fantasies and science fiction. Also, if you want a book that will keep you turning the pages from the beginning to the end, I suggest you get a copy of this book.
