Crimson Aria by Fyra B. Gunn is a thrilling action-packed fantasy novel. The novel tells the story of five teens whose lives are irrevocably changed by a tragic accident, not only mentally but also physically. After the accident, they realize they've been granted supernatural powers, but whether these powers are a blessing or a curse is yet to be seen. The teens are suddenly thrust into a hidden world filled with mystical beings and must quickly figure out who to trust if they have any chance of survival.

I absolutely loved this book. It wastes no time in setting up the plot, and the characters were multifaceted and lovable. The relationships between characters were complex and dynamic, which helped to make them feel like real people. My favorite character has to be Joy, as she literally is the glue that holds the team together. I also enjoyed reading about Tyrus and his struggles in mentoring, as it endeared me to him. The author did a good job of keeping us on the edge of our seats because the plot twists were unimaginable.

I didn't dislike anything about the story, the writing was simply fantastic. It was fast-paced and imaginative, and I was completely drawn into their world. I could empathize with the teens and everyone who had the misfortune of encountering the Omega Fire. I would love to read the second part of the story and learn more about the other Mythics. I also look forward to seeing the remaining members of the original team reunited.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because of all the reasons listed above. The story was well-paced, and the writing was fantastic, making it an enjoyable read. And I recommend it for readers who enjoy adventure and fantasy worlds filled with mysteries, conspiracies, and sabotage.
