I loved this book. I give it a 5 for excellent. The author does a real nice job of starting the story and explaining the characters personalities in the beginning, then going on to personalize each character and their little quips. I liked the way he brought out Anna's bubbly personality and her excitement of finding someone else with gifts. I could just see her jumping around. eyes shining and talking so fast her friends had to slow her down. The story drew me in and made it real hard to put down. Once I started reading, it did not take me long to finish the book. I really look forward to reading the books that are in this series. The author was also very colorful and descriptive using adjectives to describe the characters dreams, mind flows, and other escapades which occurred in his awakening of powers. I felt like I was right there beside them. I could picture running away from this demon and not stopping untill I was ready to fall over, out of breath, or grabbed from behind.
The book was enchanting, full of adventure and also cute in a very sweet way. I liked the way the author brought out the words of the tree when it spoke telling about its history, drawing over the letters such as sssooo I'm ssspppeeeaaakkking to youuuu, it kind of felt like the tree and wind were inside of the characters head.
Thank you for an exciting adventure in the sci fi frames of my mind.
