Downfall by S.R. Kent is the story of fallen angels who are forced to live life on earth. There is a war raging in heaven between angels. Raphael and Jophiel are in a heated battle, and Raphael is losing. Arianna rushes to save Raphael but breaks the rules to do it. Arianna is cast down to earth. Raphael and Jophiel follow her. Arianna disappears and is reborn as Marijana. Raphael and Jophiel remain the same but have no memory of who they are. After many years of living on earth, Raphael is asked to protect Marijana from her mean father, who turns out to be Jophiel.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the cover. It drew my attention immediately. This book has a unique storyline. I like how Raphael ends up finding his way to Arianna. She is just a child when Raphael meets her as Marijana, but they instantly feel a connection. Marijana is a strong-willed child who grows up under difficult circumstances but stays a kind and loving person. The story has a lot of action from the very beginning and moves at a good pace. I also really like Marijana’s half-brother, Michael. He did not know her, but he protected her anyway because she was family.

There was very little to dislike about this book. My one small complaint is that I would have liked a little bit more character development for all of the characters. Otherwise, I enjoyed everything about this book.

I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this story and will definitely be looking for more books by this author. I did not notice any editing errors. This book seems very well edited.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys supernatural stories. I also recommend this book to people who enjoy love stories that stand the test of time.
