"AWE" by Pierre R. Schwob is a science fiction novel set in a near-future world where a group of scientists led by Pic de Lucrete work on a project to study and predict climate change and its dangers to the world.

A group of specialists from the Palo Alto Research Institute (PARI) will create a method for using artificial intelligence (AI) to predict global climate change and the catastrophe that it would bring about for humanity. They will also give guidance on how to prevent this from happening. Nevertheless, a certain group of people will always oppose change if it goes against their own self-serving ambitions, and this story is not an exception. These enemies are powerful individuals in politics and economics who will be extremely difficult to defeat.

The story was made more relatable by the author's inclusion of several well-known figures, such as Trump and Xi Jinping as characters involved in a global issue or Vladimir Putin as a villain battling against those attempting to prevent a global climate catastrophe.

In this novel, the author highlights the importance of being careful with the environment and starting to take care of it as soon as possible. We all know that bad things will happen if our lifestyle doesn't change soon enough, but we may not be aware of the extent of the consequences we could have, and this story presents a really good possibility.

This book receives a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The author presented very relatable scenarios for readers to get engaged with the story from the start with references like the Covid pandemic, for example. It was also well edited, since I could not find any errors in it. Highlighting the author's suggestion to start each chapter with a song to listen to while reading the book is crucial. I try it, and it's incredible how this simple idea creates an entire mood for the readers to connect with the environment of the scene.

My only complaint was that the narrative was slow in the beginning and the real action didn’t start until the second half of the book, but maybe that's just a matter of taste, so I don't think it's necessary to deduct a star from the rating.

I will recommend this book to fanatics of science, politics, and studies of climate change. In terms of age, it does contain strong language and sexual content that makes the book more suitable for an adult audience.
