Planet Earth is highly contaminated and is leading to soon become inhabitable for humans and other living things. Even though many remedies are being taught and introduced to reduce this, nothing seems to be working, which leads to answers being sought. What is really going on with Planet Earth and what truth is being hidden from us by the government and those in charge? These were slowly revealed after the extraterrestrial species, the Treretumians, revisit to planet Earth thousand of years later after planting 'seeds' to help in the progress and development in human conquering Earth. What type of relationship would be developed between the humans and treretumians and what will be expose about the reason behind Earth's demise.
Heaven and Earth by Arturo Riojas is about the dilemma of both the planet Earth and Treretum leading to soon becoming inhabitable and how the treretumians form a relationship with a few of the earthlings to analyse and form a strategy and solution for this problem. Not to mention with the oncoming invasion of the Muimdac who threatens to overtake both planets and species.
I find it captivating how the author is able to share an extensive knowledge and discussion on health related issues being faced, scientifically and socially but yet does not deviate from the story and in fact grasp ones interest and own opinion. This book serves as an 'eye opener' to the many things that are hidden from us health wise mostly in relation to cadmium poisoning and our behaviour towards such things. I also appreciate how accurate all the scientific features and explanations were.
It is hard to say that I disliked anything about this book the only difficulty I faced was understanding the extremely complex literary and scientific terms but appreciate that most were broken down and explained throughout the story. With the complexity of the system of words, literary devices and scientific terms, This book would most likely appeal to an audience with a higher level education especially in science. It clearly shows the extensive research and knowledge that Arturo Riojas has done on health and environmental problems on earth in relation to cadmium poisoning.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 because there were no grammatical error at all throughout the entire book, it was well written, reviewed and edited. There was not anything I disliked about it, even though it was advance in wording. I do not rate it any less because it is clear what the story is about and also what the author is trying to get across to the readers. Which was done exponentially well.
