Alex Fayman’s book, Superhighway is the first book in the Superhighway trilogy. The book speeds very fast through the corridors of the web. In an attempt to hook his audience, Alex Fayman has included twists and turns in this book. The main issue in this book is cybercrimes and cyber malpractices such as hacking of internet accounts. This will remind readers of how much they are prone to cyber robbery especially these days when such mischiefs are sky-rocketing.

A young man by the name Alex Fine is the central character in this book. Alex is orphaned at a very tender age. He is therefore named and brought up in a foster care center based in the state of California. For a very long period of time, Alex has lived an invisible life as he is hidden. The orphanage gets some computers and this serves as the point where the life of Alex rejuvenates. As he is using one of the computers, Alex realizes his new capability by an accident. He has an easy access to various websites. Alex is capable of accessing several databases including online bank accounts and military information.

This discovery comes when he is just about to join the prestigious West Coast University and so hampers his joining of the institution. Being a philanthropic boy, Alex hacks money from online bank accounts of criminal groups based in the Netherlands and Russia. He is very successful in this but one day; his push to meet his philanthropic mission leads him into a problem. He is being pursued by the gang groups that he has been stealing money from their accounts. It is now clear to him that he is no longer hidden. The hunter has now become the hunted.

The author provides a platform for readers to visualize the happening in the book thus our imagination is stirred up. Just like any other science- fiction, Superhighway will not fail to engage and provoke you. The author shows to us how foster children can prove to be dangerous when kicked out of the orphanage. I noticed gender imbalance as far as characterization is concerned in this book. Male characters dominate the cast of this book while female characters are thinly developed.

The major theme of this book, the ability to browse the internet, shows the dark side of such capabilities. The idea of Alex travelling through the internet passageways will intrigue and captivate the youth. I tend to think that most, if not all of them, will be eager to identify with Alex Fine. I thus recommend this book to young readers and funs of sci-fi. This book will serve you well and will make your mind whirl in much pleasure.

Since I failed to notice any error, I gave this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is a well written page-turner that will not fail to entertain you. You can get both paperback and Kindle edition copies from Amazon. For further updates, you can opt to connect with the author on his website.
