Heaven and Earth by Arturo Riojas was an eye opener for me. I would like to thank the author for sharing such important information and, for showing such concern for mankind. Heaven and Earth is more than another science fiction, it is will help you to see what we are blindly doing to ourselves and others.

Olga Ramos, a researcher for NASA, meets up with her good Gavilian but, their time together takes an unexpected turn when Nivla, an extraterrestrial, and his two drones, Reppoc and Cniz, ask them for help locate his brother's body from an wreck that happened about 50 years ago near a place we know as AREA 51. Teaming up with Dr. Welch and his assistant Sam, they also bring a ray hope to the aliens concerning how to destroy the Muimdac, another alien race that is threatening to take over Nivla's planet. He enlightens his new human companions with knowledge of Earth, its history, and his planet. In return he sees that the knowledge that they have is worth sharing to the world.

Throughout the book Arturo spreads more and knowledge about cadmium, a metal that is consumed daily and has multiple negative effects on our bodies. He express how it is mandatory that we know about it and raise awareness about it. At the end of each chapter at snippets of information about what cadmium is, how it enters our bodies, and how it is destroying us. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for the knowledge and creativity.

What I loved about the story were the names of the aliens. I did find them to be humorous and clever. I've also enjoyed the research and heart Arturo put into his work. There is no doubt that he wanted to spread the word about cadmium. I found the Spanish and English translation to be a great bonus. I study Spanish and had fun reading the sentences out loud to help with pronunciation. Others may not enjoy it as much as I have but do not let it bother you. There is more to the book. Things that can help you and your loved ones and, they are located at the end of the book. Information to help us fight against cadmium.

I do not have any dislikes about Heaven and Earth. It is a wealth of information throughout the story line and throughout the book. It shines light on certain health issues that we have and why we suffer with them. It'll change the way how you see a grocery store, your favorite snack, even your pharmacy. After reading it, I immediately started researching the foods I eat and changed my families diet. My shopping trips became easier when I got the hang of knowing what look for. I encourage everyone to not just read this book but to study it as well. And raise awareness of cadmium.
