The Chest Of Visions: Secrets Of Caperston by Tim Ferguson is the first book of its series. It combines the theory of biblical creation, the cosmological theory and the big bang theory to tell a wonderful story about another universe known as Caperston and it's relationship to Earth. It is an illustrative book and was set in the universe Caperston.

Certain characters and events in the Bible such as, Jesus walking on water, the story of the good Samaritan and the sermon on the mountain among others, were used in the book but in a more modern way and in a different universe. Personally, I think the author was trying to bring to our imagination how the reception of Jesus would be if his first coming had occurred in this modern technological age.

The book was able to touch certain challenges Christians may be faced with and what should be done during those periods. The bravery, honesty, love and humility of some characters in the book are worthy of emulation. Despite being set in a totally different universe and combining three different theories of creation, the book was quite easy to understand.

Each character in the book were unique in their own way. At the end of the book there are ten lessons written by the author for youths which could be observed individually or as a group.

My best part of the book is the ability of the author to make Jesus more relatable in the person of Chihaysu. This way, I was able to better understand and appreciate the teachings, parables and sacrifices he made. I also appreciated the explanation given concerning the death of Kevin mostly because I've also lost a friend and I found comfort from the book. I'm really looking forward to the second book in the series.

I observed no errors while reading the book. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars and recommend it to both children and adults because the book made the Bible story of Jesup simpler and clearer and there is a lot to be learned from the book as a growing child and as an adult.
