I have just completed reading the book SuperHighway by Alex Fayman. I completely enjoyed this work. I found no issues with the book, the editing was superb throughout. This book is very hard to put down once you start reading it. The action hits in the first chapter and just continues until the very end. I rate this book as 4 out of 4 stars. This is a great read for anyone that is into the science fiction/technofiction genres.

The book starts is a gentle way, about the life of a young orphan who discovers that he has some very unique abilities. Rather than being a natural mutation, this mutation was brought on by genetic experiments performed by CIA scientists. This young man starts out on a mission of self-discovery and he finds few friends and many enemies along the way. He goes from dirt poor, to very rich. His actions with the newfound wealth are great. He starts a humanitarian charity with the funds. Some of the other things he does with the money are a little selfish, but you have to admit, you would likely do the very same.

I can not wait until I start reading the next book in this trilogy. This author seems to be on the level of greats like Orson Scott Card. The writing style just grabs you from the get-go. The only thing that I did not like about this book, was that it was a bit hard to follow at times. Parts of the book just seemed kind of disconnected from each other. That may be by design though, as the overall theme of the book seems to be a short series of disconnects, leading to a cliff-hanger ending that just leaves you wanting more.

The main character is very easy to like for most of the book, but he does have a tendency to drift off into murky waters at times. Overall, he is a character that is very easy to like. His impulsive nature will resonate with a lot of readers, but some of the darker things that happen in the story may have the opposite effect. His nature is constantly changing throughout the book, but the underlying currents of his personality stay very constant. His is a tragic back story, and his future is in question at the end of the first book.

This author has rocketed to the top of my current reading list with this series. I had a very hard time putting the book down, and will be getting the rest of the series as well.
