Superhighway sounds like various cars racing in full speed. Superhighway may sound like that in a diverse set of velocity through the fiber optic channel. Does it sound surprising upon hearing "fiber optic?" Alex Fayman wrote Superhighway engulfed with internet operations as a portal going to unique places. This is the first book in a trilogy series of the Superhighway. A science-fiction novel with intense travel and lucrative incredible life experience.
Alex Fine is a clever lad living in the orphanage under the care of Ms. Jenkins who serves as his mother. Experiencing different types of foster care made him decide to stay in the orphanage as an assistant to Ms. Jenkins. Turning eighteen, Alex's life quickly changed as college is most concerned. It's Friday when Ms. Jenkins announced another set of rules for the new gift to them. Everyone was excited! It's a computer! Alex also loves playing computer games besides reading as his favorite hobby.
He went to the computer lab and browses something he is fond of. The limit time has ended for its already time to sleep. He yanked the computer cable to unplug it. Suddenly, all around him was moving and spinning into a dark maze. Alex was missing without any trace that makes all of his colleagues startled and puzzled.
Alex recognized he was on a Hawaiian beach resort where it has a soothing beauty. He learned how the computer changed his life and cherishes it as a treasure. Utilizing the computer, he could easily obtain money and acquire all the things he desired. He spotted a beautiful timepiece and wore it on his first date to Anna. Meanwhile, the gold watch brought his life great trouble. Why? He woke up when somebody poured cold water on his face. He was in the house of a criminal named Henry Langhout. What will be the connection of the watch to a computer under the rooftop of the notorious criminals?
Superhighway is the most amazing book I've ever read in the science-fiction novel. I enjoyed the twist of the story from different places, culture and cuisine. I indeed wish to experience a journey with Alex in the fiber optic cable going to numerous places. It is the most amazing access from place to place without the inconvenience of long traffic.
Fayman did a great job of describing Amsterdam culture and practices as well as in Los Angeles and the Caribbean Island. The flow of the story is bouncing to and fro into the latter places I mentioned above, but it won't get you lost. This flow of the story made me excited to read it because the following scene seems so vibrant as it leaves a cliff-hanger to create thrills.
I like the goal of the Manna Foundation which is to assist the needy, but knowing the funding source seems unpleasant to do. I disagree with this part. It looks like a digital "Robin Hood" though it was stolen from the hands of the criminals to feed the helpless. Killing an innocent person as well looks devastating because they do not have an opportunity to defend or escape in the dens of criminals.
On the other side, I still rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it's hard to find any errors or typos. The book is professionally edited for the language is thoroughly comfortable to read; the subsequent scene is easy to decipher to what kind of place you are in, too. However, the story has dreadful scenes that are unsuitable for minor readers. It contains bloody shots, tingling romance and a digital thief look-alike. I recommend this book to a person who read this type of genre in their spare times. Superhighway is suited to an adult avid fun of science-fiction novel.
